2011 Tracking Test

Sunday, December 11, 2011, was a chilly but sunny day for Mattaponi's tracking trials. We had four TD tracks and four TDX tracks, with at least 5 TD alternates, and 16 TDX alternates.

After spending most of Saturday, plotting the tracks for TD and TDX participants, The TDX tracklayers showed up early Sunday morning to put in their tracks, which had to age for at least 3 hours. Then the TD tracklayers went to work putting in their TD tracks(they also did the cross tracks for all four TDX tracks). We held the draw, then ran the four TD tracks, and all four passed and received their TD. A fantastic morning for TD dogs.

Then we were onto the TDX tracks, each dog trying their hardest, but each had a problem that prevented them from completing their track.
